The Eureka Hornets firmly defeated the Kansas City Tornadoes, 14-4, at Debris Field. The Eureka offense was lit. Brian Carr, for one, had a solid game. He went 3-5 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Hornets. Eureka goes to 87-53. The win puts them 5½ games up in their division.

Carr contributed in the top of the third. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a 2-run home run. It was one at-bat among others that helped Eureka get the win.
