Bighorn Squanders Great Game by Crofts
The San Francisco Earthquakes weathered an outstanding game by Bighorn third baseman Chris Crofts to topple the Bison, 9-6. Crofts went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. The winning pitcher was Dan Burk. His record now stands at 2-3. The left-hander went 5.1 innings, allowing 4 runs on 5 hits for the Earthquakes. The Earthquakes raised their record to 57-83.

Junior Leeney had a big 2-run home run for the Earthquakes in the bottom of the fourth inning. With San Francisco trailing 4-3 and a runner on 3rd, he sized up a fastball from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Tatsuhi Naki and punished it. The result was his 13th home run of the season, which put the Earthquakes on top, 5-4.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Earthquakes manager Zayar Adelabu. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
