Ridge Runners Need Extra Frames to Get Past Eclipse
The Eagle Rock Ridge Runners picked up a win at Millennium Field, dropping the Chicago Eclipse, 6-2, in 13 innings. Andrew Shackleton, who led the RCL in strikeouts with 228 in 2059, was the difference-maker. Tatsuhi Naki, 2-1, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. The Ridge Runners now own a record of 71-70.

Carl Farley came through with a big-time hit for Eagle Rock. The designated hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the 13th inning to give his team the lead, 4-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"I just kind of blacked out and executed my pitches," said Shackleton.
