The Mexico City Luchadores could not turn a fine performance from third baseman Rich Van Fleet into a win. Instead, the Quebec Armada prevailed, 11-7. Van Fleet went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Victor Favela, who finished 4th in the RCL in ERA with 3.94 in 2064, was the winner. He's now 3-0. The loser was Alex Boulware. The win puts Quebec at 7-7.

Quebec won the game in part because of Dan Nieman. The center fielder ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Armada ahead, 6-5. For the game, Nieman had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Armada manager Rod Cirilo. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
