Buffalo second baseman Jeff Holmes was sensational. He went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Bighorn beat the Bison, 12-9. Ruben Rodriguez earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 6-3. Austin Gray nailed down the save.

Had Tom Clingan not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Clingan hit a 2-run single. That made the score 9-8, in favor of the Bison.

"Crazy game," said Clingan after it ended.

The Bison raised their record to 76-69.
