In Extras, Ridge Runners Beat Eclipse, 5-4
The Eagle Rock Ridge Runners defeated the Chicago Eclipse, 5-4, in 11 innings in Roberto Clemente League action at Ozark Mountain Stadium. Eagle Rock pitcher Miguel Arroyo had a standout performance. The winner in relief was Jimmy LaPointe. He is now 8-4. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. The first-place Eclipse dropped to 87-59.

The Ridge Runners got a clutch hit from third baseman Ron Mulhollan. In the bottom of the 11th, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Ridge Runners.

"Miguel showed what he's made of," said Eagle Rock manager Paco Berroa.
