The Dallas Texans handed the Cairo Pharaohs a loss at Metroplex Park. The final score was 5-4. Chris Sawyer was one of the major contributors for Dallas. In addition to his 1 single and 1 home run, he scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Dallas starter Eric Engel was credited with the win after throwing 90 pitches over 5 innings. Sawyer contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Dallas in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 3-2, Sawyer took a cutter from Cameron Mutton and stroked the home run to left. His 32nd home run of the season allowed the Texans to leap in front, 4-3.

Dallas manager Lester Burrow was pleased with the team's effort. "It was just a good, gutsy performance by everybody," he said.
