Pioneers Lose to Earthquakes, 5-2
|
The San Francisco Earthquakes got a stellar effort from pitcher Justin Allmond, helping San Francisco score a win over the visiting Vancouver Pioneers, 5-2. The winning pitcher was Allmond, now 2-7. He tossed 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 5. The defeat makes Vancouver 82-65.
Mike Young helped his team take an early lead with a 2-run single. It came in the first inning, making the score 2-0, Earthquakes.
"It feels good, just a great win all around," Allmond said after the game.
