Wambach Silences Chicago Bats
Ozark Mountain Stadium featured a tense pitchers' duel.

In a tight game between the Eagle Rock Ridge Runners and the Chicago Eclipse, pitcher Jon Wambach was terrific on the mound. The Eagle Rock right-hander helped his team to the 2-0 win. The save went to Jimmy LaPointe, number 11 for him.

Wambach delivered a quality start for Eagle Rock. The 6-foot-5 right-hander allowed no earned runs on 5 hits over 7.1 innings of work.

"Jon did a tremendous job," said Eagle Rock manager Paco Berroa.

The Ridge Runners saw their record improve to 74-74.
