On a Roll: Coppage Hits for Cycle
Requiring speed, power, and regular contact, the cycle is often seen as a test of a complete hitter. For Mark Coppage, consider that test passed.

The 25-year-old second baseman hit for the cycle at Thundering Grounds at Bison Stadium, to help the Bloomington Blazers triumph, 14-11, over the Buffalo Bison. All told, Coppage delivered 4 hits in 6 at-bats with 4 RBI and 1 run scored.

"It feels good of course, but I'm not going to kid anyone -- there's a lot of luck in hitting for the cycle," he said after the game. "Several unique things have to come together all in the same game."

Mark Coppage hit a two-run home run off Brad Helmick in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, tripled in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and flied out in the 9th.
