Behind the hitting of Chance Reber, the Cabo San Lucas Toreros stopped the Eagle Rock Ridge Runners, 9-6. Reber was 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs for the Toreros. Jimmy Sherry picked up the save, his 34th. The 4th-place Toreros now have a win-loss record of 64-64.

Pat Bean had a big 2-run home run for the Toreros in the bottom of the third inning. With Cabo San Lucas leading 3-2 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a slider from 31-year old left-handed pitcher Stephen Chivers and punished it. The result was his 20th home run of the season, which put the Toreros on top, 5-2.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Bean.
