Cabo San Lucas Rallies Past Havana, 9-6

Cabo San Lucas and Havana got after it at The Humidor.
The Cabo San Lucas Toreros stopped the Havana Stogies, 9-6, behind an impressive performance from Dustin West. The 25-year old first baseman made life miserable for Havana pitching. He was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Victor Gonzalez picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-2. Ben Benson, who is tied for 8th in the RCL in saves with 28, was tagged with the loss.
Cabo San Lucas used a timely hit from Mark Carrozza to get the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Toreros ahead, 8-6. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"I like how we're playing right now," said Carrozza.
Cabo San Lucas currently is in last place in the Roberto Clemente League International Division at 58-91.
