Stogies Suffer One-Run Loss at Quebec
Josh Davey added some punch to the Quebec offense, helping them outmuscle the Havana Stogies, 8-7. In the game, Davey, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2062 draft, went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Quebec reliever Pat Neumann was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Yale Fischer took the loss. Nick Cockrell was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.

Had Phil Peters not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 1st, Peters hit a run-scoring double. That made the score 8-7, in favor of the Armada.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Peters, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
