Despite a fine performance by designated hitter Roberto Navarro, the Kansas City Tornadoes lost to the Chicago Eclipse, 8-7, in 13 innings. Navarro went 2-5 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4. Now 13-3, the 2066 Eclipse have been phenomenal so far.

The decisive blow was delivered by Larry Gilliland in the bottom of the 13th when he hit a bases-clearing double off 31-year old right-handed pitcher Carlos Avila to win the game for Chicago. The home crowd went nuts.

In postgame remarks, Gilliland simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
