The Dallas Texans could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Yun-fat Liang into a win. Instead, the Eagle Rock Ridge Runners prevailed, 7-5. Liang came in in relief and pitched to 17 batters. David Baxley, the winner, improved to 13-8. He held the Texans to 2 runs on 6 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 4. The win elevated the Ridge Runners to 77-77.

C.J. Parrish took Dallas hurler Jonathan McMenamin deep in the bottom of the fourth. His 3-run home run put the Ridge Runners on top, 3-2. In all, Parrish had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
