At Field de Los Layendas, the Cabo San Lucas Toreros and Montreal Mounties were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Montreal Mounties defeated the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 11-4, at Field de Los Layendas. Montreal was led by two-time All-Star Chris Elliott, who was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Jose del Real, the winner, improved to 13-4. He held the Toreros to 4 runs on 6 hits over 6.2 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 2. Randy Mowers earned his 1st save, after closing out the game.

Montreal grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Elliott hit a 2-run home run off Justin Dietrich. His 26th home run of the season put the Mounties out in front, 5-3.

"It feels good, just a great win all around," Elliott said after the game.

The Roberto Clemente League International Division-leading Mounties have a record of 90-65.
