Goose eggs were the order of the day for the Buffalo Bison as starter German Gil shut them out, 2-0, at Arnold Field. The Jacksonville pitcher struck out 7 and walked 2 while allowing 3 hits.

"Gil was good but he wasn't flawless," Buffalo manager Jon Green said. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Jacksonville, but this is on us."

In 27 starts this season, Gil has chalked up a 12-6 record and a 3.98 ERA.
