The Dallas Texans beat the Chicago Eclipse, 5-3. Dallas pitcher and Cancún, Mexico, native Victor Lara led the way. In 5.2 innings, Lara surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. The last-place Texans sport a record of 67-90.

Greg Shelton had a big 3-run home run for the Texans in the bottom of the third inning.
