Toreros Win Thriller, 9-8
In a high-scoring contest between Cabo San Lucas and Mexico City, first baseman Danny Douglass was a difference-maker. Douglass, who led the RCL in extra base hits with 96 in 2062, distinguished himself in the 9-8 Cabo San Lucas win. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Cabo San Lucas reliever Ricky Pimentel picked up the win, upping his record to 8-3. Dan Wallace took the loss. The Toreros saw their record improve to 61-95.

The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the ninth. With Cabo San Lucas trailing 8-6, Douglass jumped on a fastball from 27-year old right-handed pitcher Dan Wallace and hit a 3-run home run to right-center. With one swing, the Toreros had a walk-off win.

"This game was intense," Douglass said, postgame.
