The bats were silent much of the day at Field de Los Layendas. But 24-year old shortstop Mark Crouse produced just enough offense to carry the Earthquakes past the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 3-2. Crouse was 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. The Earthquakes now have a record of 75-59.

San Francisco used the hitting of Dylan Robertson to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Earthquakes on top, 3-1. For the game, Robertson had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"It's still just a game," said Robertson, "whether you win or lose."
