The El Paso Mavericks did just enough to secure a victory over the Eureka Hornets, 5-4, in 10 innings at The Nest. Nobody did more than pitcher Alexis Ochoa. At 72-85, El Paso is in 5th place in the Roberto Clemente League Central Division.

Danny Sullivan was 2 for 4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for El Paso. With one out and the game tied in the top of the tenth inning, Sullivan had a clutch at-bat. Facing Eureka hurler Tim Woodlock, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Mavericks a 5-4 lead.

Sullivan told a El Paso Observer reporter that he felt "relieved" after the win.
