At Thundering Grounds at Bison Stadium, the Buffalo Bison and Bloomington Blazers were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Bloomington Blazers defeated the Buffalo Bison, 10-6, in Thurman Munson League action at Thundering Grounds at Bison Stadium. Bill Shook pulled his weight. The 6-year veteran was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Bloomington reliever Sergio Apodaca picked up the win, raising his record to 3-7. Brendon Wager was tagged with the loss. Mario Moreno got credit for the save for Bloomington. It was his 3rd of the year.

Benito Mendosa came through with a big-time hit for Bloomington. The shortstop smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 9-6. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"It all comes down to execution," said Bloomington manager Scott Andrews. "Baseball 101."

The Blazers now have a mark of 94-64.
