Earthquakes Drop Contest, 5-1, to Milwaukee
|
Milwaukee Millers starter Jay Davis was in fine form. He led his team to victory over the San Francisco Earthquakes, 5-1. Mike Ming sewed up the save, his 1st. Milwaukee is in 5th place in the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division with a record of 63-72.
Milwaukee used a clutch at-bat from Mike Keys to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Millers ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
Said losing manager Bill DesMarais: "The at-bats, obviously, needed to be better."
