The Manhattan Slice defeated the Eagle Rock Ridge Runners, 7-4, in part because of designated hitter David Owusu. Owusu went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Slice. The Slice improved their record to 49-87 by beating Eagle Rock.

The Slice got a big at-bat from second baseman Aaron Grant. For the game, Grant was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 7th home run of the season gave Manhattan a 2-0 lead.

"Winning is hard sometimes," said Slice manager Giampaolo Marcovicci. "This one was nice to get."
