The Dallas Texans turned back the Houghton Gremlins, 6-5, at Metroplex Park. Esteban Bermudez, in particular, had a fine performance. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Eric Engel, the winner, is now 11-7. He struck out 1 and walked 2 over 5 innings, while allowing 2 runs on 4 hits. Dallas now sits at 66-70, while Houghton falls to 84-52.

Dallas right fielder Francois Latulippe contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 148th hit of the season and put the Texans ahead, 6-2.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Houghton manager Dane Freeman. "The effort was great."
