Butterflies Need Extra Frames to Get Past Bison
The Pennsylvania Butterflies and Buffalo Bison put on quite a show.

The Pennsylvania Butterflies needed 10 innings to defeat the Buffalo Bison, 9-7, at Thundering Grounds at Bison Stadium. Pennsylvania left fielder Philippe Parent had a superb performance. He went 3 for 5 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Randy McCafferty snagged the win in relief. He goes to 9-4 on the season. Steve Hoefling suffered the loss.

Pennsylvania used the timely hitting of Jonathan Morales to seize the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Butterflies on top, 9-7. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"That's what these guys do," said Butterflies manager Aaron Barnes. "They battle, they fight."

The last-place Butterflies improved to 65-94.
