The San Francisco Earthquakes defeated the Hawaii Honu, 5-3, at Golden Gate Park. San Francisco right fielder Freddie Carter had a superb performance. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. The win takes San Francisco to 7-9.

Mark Crouse, who is tied for 7th in the TML in triples with 1, helped out the San Francisco cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a 2-run double. For the game, the shortstop went 2 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.

"I'm proud to be a part of what we've got going on here," Crouse told the San Francisco Daily. "It's a great group and we're happy with the win."
