Surrett drives in 3 runs to Ignite Warriors Offense
|
Behind a fine performance from David Surrett, the Walnut Creek Warriors knocked off the Seattle Sasquatch, 7-3. Surrett went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3 for the Warriors. Mike Traver, credited with the win in relief, is now 2-0. He allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. Ray Clemens earned the save for Walnut Creek, his 7th.
With Walnut Creek leading 2-0 in the top of the third, Surrett hit a cutter from Travis Reske for a 3-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Warriors ahead, 5-0.
"I like the roll we're on," said Walnut Creek manager Armando Medina.
The win puts Walnut Creek at 11-5.
