Ruiz Helps Pilots Defeat Millers, 7-4
The Jacksonville Pilots defeated the Milwaukee Millers, 7-4, at The Mandalore Complex. Jacksonville left fielder Miguel Ruiz had a superb performance. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Picking up the win was German Gil. He went 7.2 innings, allowing 4 runs on 9 hits. The right--hander struck out 4 and walked 0. Jacksonville has now won 3 in a row.

With Jacksonville leading 2-0 in the top of the second, Ruiz hit a fastball from David Austin for a 3-run home run. It was his 26th home run of the season and put the Pilots ahead, 5-0.

"There's a lot of passion in our clubhouse," said Ruiz. "When we put it together we're a great ball club."
