Nieves Lifts Sasquatch to 7-5 Win
The Seattle Sasquatch welcomed the Cairo Pharaohs to an night game at The Pyramid.

The performance of Ricardo Nieves proved critical in helping Seattle beat Cairo, 7-5. The Sasquatch right fielder went 4 for 4 with a triple, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times. The win went to Jeff Lombardi in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Morgan Henn took the loss. Nate Wesson finished the game for Seattle and earned his 12th save.

Seattle used the timely hitting of Trevor McLearn to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Sasquatch on top, 7-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"We ground out the win," said Nieves. "That's all that matters."

The 5th-place Sasquatch lifted their record to 65-73.
