Chicago right-hander Joe McKnight pitched his team to victory over the Montreal Mounties at Mount Royal Grounds. The final score was 5-3. Joe Umlah recorded the save, his 6th. The win leaves Chicago with a record of 10-8.

Chicago took a 5-3 lead on Eli Neff's 3rd triple of the season. The run-scoring triple, which Neff hit in the top of the ninth, left Montreal pitcher Rob Schuss visibly frustrated.

"Obviously, you want to go out there and be good every time out," said McKnight. "I take the ball every day with the same mindset."
