Buffalo pitcher Jim Wallace had a large part in his team subduing the Pennsylvania Butterflies, 3-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Wallace got the win, improving to 10-14. He gave up 7 hits and walked 5 over 8 innings. He allowed 2 runs. The last-place Butterflies now sit at 68-93.

Buffalo used the timely hitting of Devin Staples to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Bison on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
