Texans Win at Kansas City, 3-1

Dallas and Kansas City put this game in the books despite some rain.
Kansas City got a big-time effort from pitcher John Nauss, but it wasn't enough to keep the Dallas Texans from winning the game, 3-1. Nauss threw 8.0 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. Chris Nugent picked up his 29th save of the season.
Jimmy Eastes had a direct impact on the outcome. Eastes contributed a solo home run in the top of the second inning to put Dallas up, 2-0.
"I play this game for myself and my family, but of course it's always nice when we can win," said Eastes.
The Texans raised their record to 78-84.
