Ridge Runners Lose Despite Valiant Effort by Hemmelgarn
The Eagle Rock Ridge Runners could not turn a fine performance from right fielder Jesse Hemmelgarn into a win. Instead, the West Island Jazz prevailed, 11-10. Hemmelgarn hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 5. Ernesto Herrera finished the game for West Island and earned his 5th save. Eagle Rock, with the loss, is 10-6.

West Island shortstop Tony Greene helped the Jazz go up, 11-10, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Greene hit a run-scoring single off Eagle Rock pitcher Russ Fought.
