Blazers Lose, 8-1, at Magnificent Marauders Mansion
|
The Maple Marauders thumped the Bloomington Blazers, 8-1, at Magnificent Marauders Mansion. Frank Robinson III was a big reason his team got the win. Robinson III was 2-3 with a triple and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Maple reliever Jeremy Meisel snagged the win, upping his record to 3-1. Jordan Curry shouldered the loss. By defeating Bloomington, the 5th-place Marauders improved to 70-92.
Robinson III contributed a big hit, a 2-run triple, for Maple in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Robinson III took a fastball from Mario Solis and stroked the triple to right-center. His 11th triple of the season allowed the Marauders to leap in front, 2-1.
"We're a talented bunch when we're playing well," said Robinson III. "I think we showed that here."
