Argonauts Slip Past Billings, 12-11
Crowds lined up early in front of Golden Fleece Park, eagerly awaiting the start of the 2063 TRIPLE A season. On the mound was John Koch for the visiting Billings Mustangs and David Feldman for the hometown Astoria Argonauts. In a spirited contest, the Argonauts pulled out the win, defeating the Mustangs by the score of 12-11. Especially impressive was Ruben Campos.

The decisive blow was delivered by Ricky Armendariz in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 24-year old right-handed pitcher Ed Newson to win the game for Astoria. The home crowd went nuts.

"Drama and more drama," said Argonauts manager Amin Kinsaka. "That's baseball at its finest."
