Reno Raiders (0-2) 0 0 0 2 0 1 1 1 4 9 12 0
Indianapolis Ambition (2-0) 3 0 0 0 0 3 0 3 2 11 12 1
Ambition Get Dramatic 11-9 Triumph
Reno got a terrific game from left fielder Manuel Mendez. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Indianapolis, 11-9. Mendez went 2 for 5 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. The Ambition, now 2-0, have played some good baseball in the early going.

Indianapolis got a clutch hit from Billy McConnell. The second baseman launched a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a kill shot.

"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," McConnell said in his postgame press conference.
