The 2062 season did not get off to quite the start the Asheville Moonshiners had hoped, with an opening day loss to the Huntington Station Ramrods at The Still. The final score was 6-3. Starting Pitcher Dan Lenart was the top performer for Huntington Station. Ben Benson recorded his 1st save for Huntington Station.

Mike Moss had a big 2-run home run for the Ramrods in the top of the fourth inning. With Huntington Station leading 2-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a changeup from Victor Lara, who finished 5th in the RCL in ERA with 3.54 last year, and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Ramrods on top, 4-0.
