McBroom goes 3-for-4, Leads Coal Miners to Win
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 23-year old left fielder Josh McBroom, the Antioch Coal Miners defeated the Amarillo Armadillos, 6-2. Ralph Elliott, now 1-0, was credited with the win in 4 innings of relief. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 0. The loss puts Amarillo at 3-2.

Antioch took a 5-1 lead on McBroom's 3rd home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which he hit off Brian Taylor in the top of the sixth, propelled Antioch to the win.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," McBroom told the Antioch Daily News.
