Caterpillars Bridle Ambition, 4-2
Peoria turned a good performance from starting pitcher Kevin Grisham into a 4-2 triumph over the Indianapolis Ambition at Ken Griffey Jr. Plaza. Grisham got the win, improving to 1-0. He gave up 5 hits and walked 2 over 7.1 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Martin Mercier finished to wrap up his 1st save.

Peoria used a clutch at-bat from Juan Lopez to capture the win. The pinch hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Caterpillars ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a humdinger.

"There's a lot of passion in our clubhouse," said Lopez. "When we put it together we're a great ball club."

With the win, Peoria is 3-2.
