Raiders Come Back Late to Clip Bumblebees
|
Pasadena center fielder Charles Randell had a good game, even if his team did not. The Bumblebees dropped a 6-5 decision to Reno at House of Pain. Randell went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Joe Gleason claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 3.1 innings. His record stands at 1-0. The win lifts Reno to a record of 4-3.
Reno took a 6-5 lead on Pete May's 3rd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which May hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Pasadena pitcher Hicham Munoru visibly frustrated.
"We'll enjoy this win for now, but it's just one," May told local reporters. "We've got to keep it going."
