In a tight contest at Excavatar Park, the Peoria Caterpillars edged the Madison Muskies by the score of 6-5. Peoria third baseman Mark Coppage, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. Jordan Curry earned the save for Peoria, his 2nd. The loss makes Madison 1-6.
Had Coppage not come through in the bottom of the eighth, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Coppage hit a grand slam home run. The Caterpillars took the lead, 6-5, and never looked back.
"I was seeing the ball well tonight," said Coppage.
