Albuquerque starter Chris Lechelt ran into little resistance from State College hitters, as his team cruised to victory, 9-0. Lechelt, now 1-0, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 4, walking 2, and allowing no runs. State College is now 5-3.

The Cacti got a big hit from shortstop Kyle Sells. Facing State College pitcher Martin Butler in the top of the seventh, Sells pounded a 3-run home run to right. His 3rd home run of the season put the Cacti ahead, 8-0.

"They just got us," said State College manager Afalku Coffie, "and that's all I can say."
