Luis Garza had a 3-RBI night to help the Astoria Argonauts down the Calgary Kodiaks, 7-5. Astoria reliever Matt Richards picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. Larry Newton was tagged with the loss. The win takes Astoria to 2-7.

Garza had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 1-0 changeup from John Richardson, he banged a 3-run home run to right-center, giving the Argonauts a 7-4 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Garza.

"It's a long season," said Garza. "We'll keep working to improve."
