Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Indianapolis Ambition and Amarillo Armadillos.

The Indianapolis Ambition topped the Amarillo Armadillos, 4-3, in TML AAA action at Ken Griffey Jr. Plaza. The standout performance belonged to Indianapolis pitcher and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, native Mario Vasquez. Vasquez picked up the win for Indianapolis, going 8 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 9 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. David Lewis recorded his 2nd save for Indianapolis.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the seventh, with the game tied, Jose Silva was at the plate when Indianapolis scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Ambition to go in front, 4-3.

"I liked the focus, I liked the effort," said Ambition manager Zi-jun Gou.

Indianapolis goes to 4-6.
