Waimea center fielder Riley Andrus made his presence felt in the 7-6 Wind triumph over the Thunder Bay Black Bears. Andrus was 2-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Mark Weston picked up the save for Waimea, his 4th of the year. The Wind raised their record to 6-5.

Early in the game, Andrus had a 3-run home run for Waimea. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Wind on top, 3-0.

"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," Andrus told the Waimea Herald.
