Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Racers
The Bowling Green Racers downed the Calgary Hitmen, 7-5, in 11 innings at Top of the Hill. The Racers were led by Jared Thornton. Thornton was 5-6 with a home run and 3 doubles, while scoring 3 and driving in 3. Bowling Green reliever David Heisler got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Eric Lewis was tagged with the loss. Bowling Green is now 6-6.

The decisive blow was delivered by Andres Silvestre in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a 2-run home run off 23-year old right-handed pitcher Eric Lewis to win the game for Bowling Green. The home crowd went nuts.

"Our team showed some gumption," said Silvestre. "I like it."
