Randell Rips 2 Homers in 8-6 Win
|
Pasadena took on Joplin in front of a lively crowd.
The Pasadena Bumblebees bested the Joplin Fireballs by a score of 8-6, with center fielder Charles Randell getting the main credit. On the day, Randell went 3-3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3 for the Bumblebees. Joplin, now 3-14, continues its dreadful start.
In the top of the seventh, the Bumblebees grabbed the lead when Randell hit his 7th home run of the season. The 2-run home run off Steve Saeger made it 5-3, Pasadena.
"The key is not trying to do too much," said Randell.
