The 8-4 Peoria win over Minneapolis was due largely to Thimotée Ducrocq. The Caterpillars second baseman went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Sergio Hernandez, the winning pitcher, improved to 3-0. He pitched 7.2 innings, giving up 7 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 2 and walking 1. Peoria goes to 11-5.

Erik Ware had a big run-scoring double for the Caterpillars in the top of the second inning. With Peoria leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a changeup from former first round draft pick Devin Gammon and swatted a double to right. It was his 4th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Caterpillars ahead, 2-0.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Ware told the Peoria Herald.
