The Minneapolis Freeze got a marvelous performance from pitcher Raul Olveda. The right-hander kept the Amarillo offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 4-1 Minneapolis victory at Armadillos Park. In 8 innings, Olveda surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 4. He allowed 1 run. Now 2-13, the 2063 Armadillos have been wretched so far.

Todd Edwards had a direct impact on the outcome. Edwards contributed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put Minneapolis up, 3-1.

Afterward, Amarillo manager Tyler Bulman said: "We've got to find a way to pick up a win."
