Conditions were not ideal but Fort Worth and State College were able to put their game in the books.

Fort Worth picked up a win at Stars Field, bumping off the State College Swallowtails, 4-1. Pitcher Jeff Reynolds was a major reason the Cats emerged victorious. Reynolds got the win, improving to 4-0. He gave up 6 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. He allowed 1 run.

Fort Worth used a timely hit from Dan DiFranco to get the win. The right fielder stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Cats ahead, 4-1. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"I'm happy we won," said Reynolds. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."

The Cats, now 12-4, have been playing some good baseball.
