Wind Lose By a Run at Calgary
The Calgary Hitmen topped the Waimea Wind by a score of 7-6. Leading the way was second baseman Ismael Fernandez. Fernandez went 1 for 2 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Hitmen. The win went to Mark Collier in relief, making him now 1-0. Mark Weston took the loss for Waimea. The win brings the Hitmen to 12-6, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.

Fernandez contributed in the bottom of the fifth. With the bases loaded, he hit a grand slam home run. It was one at-bat among others that helped Calgary get the win.

"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Fernandez, "but we got it done."
